Alopecia (Hair Loss)

• Alopecia (Hair Loss)

Hair loss can be from several different factors.

• Stress
• Genetics
• Hormone imbalance
• Nutritional deficiency
• Clogged hair follicles
• Demodex Follicularum (mites) These mites are present in virtually everyone by the time a person reaches middle age. In most cases they cause no harm. Studies say that the hair loss in some may be the response that each individual has with the presence of these mites. If the body initiates the inflammatory response as it tries to reject the mites, it may close down the follicles, thus killing the mites but also killing the hair. (This would be likely since the cortisone shots are working.)
• Poor circulation
• Thyroid disease
• Fungal infections
• Toxic liver
• Misc. medications, etc...

However, if you're lucky enough to already have a healthy head of hair, the following may help to maintain it:*

• Folic Acid 800mcg per day (supports normal hair growth).
• Essential Fatty Acids (we have a formula called Hair, Skin, & Nails with this in it).
• Raw Thymus (we have Thymic Formula to maintain a healthy immune system).
• B-Complex (to maintain proper response to stress).
• Vitamin C 3,000-10,000 mg per day.
• Zinc (Supports hair growth and proper immune function).
• All oxygen enhancing products to facilitate proper circulation (Body Oxygen, Clustered Water, CoQ 10, etc…).
• Copper 3 mg daily (Works with zinc to support hair growth).
• Lots of garlic in diet and supplement to keep the scalp healthy.
• Tea Tree Oil to wash hair to keep the scalp healthy. Use 10 drops into the scalp, massage in, then shampoo.
• Take Bovine Thyroid to help maintain proper thyroid function.
• Let hair dry naturally, use a pick to comb out.
• Avoid crash diets causing nutritional imbalances.
• Do not wear tight ponytail holders or other devices that would cause problems in circulation to scalp.
