Today is all about Bee's!

Most of us just think of honey when it comes to bees. But there is so much more, so lets get started.

My first real life changing experience came several years ago when we owned a health food store and I went to the local bee keeper to get honey for the store. While filling my order, he asked me if I needed any bee pollen. I told him I wasn't that familiar with it, please tell me about it. Well, he put a couple of granules in my hand and I ate them. What he didn't know was I was under a huge attack from allergies. Within 15 minutes I was cleared up. I have never had allergies like that again.

So what is it and how does it work?
Bee pollen is a powder like substance that is produced by the anthers of flowering plants and gathered by bees. It is composed of 10-15% protein and also contains B-complex vitamins, vitamin C, EFA, enzymes, carotene, calcium, copper, iron, magnesium, potassium, manganese, sodium, plant sterols, and simple sugars! Sounds like a complete meal!

It has an anti-microbial effect. It is also used to fight fatigue, depression, cancer, and colon disorders. And most of all for me it helps your body to fight allergies by boosting your immune system and helping you to build an antibody to the pollen in your area. It is the number one thing recommended for sinus infections.

It's best to get pollen from your area so you deal with the allergens in your vicinity not somebody else's.

Bee propolis is a resinous substance collected from various plants by bees: Bees construct their hives with propolis and beeswax!

Propolis is beneficial as a salve for abrasions and bruises because it is antibacterial. It is also helpful for mucous membranes of the mouth and throat.

Propolis is also high in polyphenolic antioxidants and in lab test has shown to be a cancer fighting agent!

CANDLES AND YOUR HEALTH!!!

Most candles are petrochemical and meat packing wastes that are toxic when burned. They are scented with poisonous synthetic oils and marketed to "freshen" our precious air. The black soot is as harmful to our health as tobacco smoke.

The EPA says, "Burning several candles at a time increases your risk for cancer. The Lung Assoc. says, "Refrain from burning scented candles." Health candles.org says, "avoid paraffin."

Bottom line is avoid chemical candles!!!

Beeswax is very different. It's made from flowers by honeybees, it is all natural, uniquely non-toxic, non-allergenic, and has a delicate honey-sweet aroma. A perfectly peaceful smell made by female worker bees for honeycomb that safely contains their honey and the Queen's baby bees. To produce one pound of beeswax, the worker bees eat about ten pounds of honey, fly 15,000 miles, and visit 33 million flower blossoms! Beeswax is precious stuff!!!

Pure Beeswax is healthy, producing negative ions that actually clean our air of odors, pollens, smoke, viruses, dust, dust mites, and other allergens and hazards. As does a rainstorm, beeswax candles leave our air fresher and cleaner.

They are the only candles for anyone with chemical sensitivities or allergies. Increasing negative ions in the air and on the body, just like when we bathe in water, it improves our mood and sense of well being.

Studies show---

Releasing negative ions in the air:

  • Improves air quality

  • Improves sleep

  • Enhances immune system

  • Relief from hay fever & allergies

  • Less severe asthma attacks

  • Improves concentration

  • Balances hormones

  • Natural detoxification

  • Sense of well being

  • Beeswax candles actually burn brighter, hotter, and much longer than chemical waxes. Remember the beeswax candles you get should say 100% beeswax!

So what's in these wax marvels???
  • Beeswax is composed of 74% fatty acids

  • 20% hydrocarbons & propolis and 6% misc.

  • Pure Beeswax has 248 different compounds, not all have been identified but over 111 are volatile and at least 48 of the compounds were found to contribute to the aroma.

  • God knows what He's doing!
