Stress and How to help your body deal with it!

• Stress is different for everyone.

• For some stress is an addiction.

• Some handle it very well, while others cannot.

• While some think they’re sick, it may be stress.

• Things caused by stress:

• Fatigue
• Chronic headaches
• Irritability
• Changes in Appetite
• Memory loss
• Low self esteem
• Withdrawal
• Tooth-grinding
• Cold hands
• Elevated blood pressure
• Shallow breathing
• Nervous twitches
• Reduced sex drive
• Insomnia
• Changes in sleep patterns
• GI problems

These are the most common and that’s only the beginning!

• Stress is linked to 80% of all major illnesses including:

• Heart disease
• Cancer
• Endocrine disease
• Metabolic disorders
• Neurotransmitter imbalance
• Skin disorders
• Infectious ailments of all types
• Most psychiatrists agree that most back problems are related to stress.

While stress is a psychological problem, it manifests physically. It starts with:

• Increased secretion of adrenaline
• Elevation of blood pressure
• Increased heart rate
• Tension in the muscles
• Slowed digestion – fight or flight- (digestion shuts down in order to run or fight)
• Fats and sugars are released from their storehouse – so cholesterol rises
• Composition of blood rises so blood is thick and tends to clot

This is only the beginning, it goes downhill from there.

We all go through stress at times – most short term!

The long term is when it gets dangerous.

What to do???

Get out of it and cast your cares:
  • Consider your ways.

  • Consider your diet.

  • Ask for help.

  • Confess your sins.

  • Pray – the prayer of the righteous avails much.

  • Supplement while you are on your way out:
  • Selenium
  • – disarms free radicals.
  • Vitamin C – essential for adrenal function.

  • B-Complex – Essential for proper functioning of the Central nervous system.

  • Liquid Minerals – depleted with one hour of dealing with a stressful situation.

  • GABA – Acts a tranquilizer and is important for proper Brain function.

  • Trimethylglycine – TMG – Reduces homocysteine levels in the blood and also eases the occasional blues.

  • Exercise, amazing how it can relieve stress on contact!
